Taking The Blame - Leviticus 16:1-34 - 2/7/2016

On the Day of Atonement the high priest would give sacrifices for the sins of himself and the people of Israel.  In addition to the sacrifices, they also pronounced their sins on the head of a goat and sent him into the wilderness.  This goat was called the scapegoat because it carried the burden of sin of Israel on itself.  When Christ was on the cross He carried the burden of our sins on Him.
